Project Description
Objective of the Video:
As part of the “Création Vidéo” course in Multimedia Integration Techniques, we had to create a short team video with four students. Our mission was to produce an original work by choosing among the proposed categories: fiction, documentary, experimental, or a trailer for a fictitious film. Each team had to film and meet specific technical requirements, including color correction, title animation, and multiple sound elements. We decided to create a dark, suspenseful, and action-filled dramatic fiction with a mysterious aspect.
Publication Date
This project was completed on December 13, 2022.
Role(s) in the Project
In this project, we were a team of four and we asked three people from our program to join us as additional actors.
Here are the roles of each teammate:
Alexander Rankov: I was responsible for capturing various angles for our storyboard shots. I also played the role of Dimitrovich, an angry Russian policeman ready to take down anyone in his path. Besides acting, I handled sending the videos to Julian and contributed a bit to the editing.
Julian Camilo Ibanez Gomez: Director and lead actor.
Thomas Roy: Scriptwriter and actor.
Ryan Ao: Second cameraman and actor, with logistical contributions.
Clara Laforest-Champagne, Camilia El Moustarih, and Alexandre Dufour: Additional actors.
Software used
We had the opportunity to explore three essential software tools for post-production: Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and Audition.
- Premiere Pro allowed us to work on video editing with advanced tools, such as text animation, precise color adjustments, and sound control.
- Adobe Media Encoder was crucial for exporting our videos in different formats.
- Adobe Audition enabled us to enhance audio by removing unwanted noise and improving voice clarity.
