Project description
Objective of the video :
For the “Effets spéciaux et animation” course in Multimedia Integration Techniques, we needed to create a video of a fictional game. The video presents a concept for a fictional game titled “Position de tête,” showcased in both 2D and 3D with special effects. In this project, I created a video where the main character—the viewer—navigates through the game’s graphic environment and is introduced to the game. The goal was to create an original work using techniques learned in class, such as 2D and 3D layers, cameras, lights, and various special effects.

Role(s) in the Project
In this project, my role was to storyboard the project, create the idea for the fictional game, design my own 2D and 3D illustrations in Illustrator and fully edit the video. I handled the font selection, researched car inspirations, created fictional names, and designed the effects. For part of the video, I asked two of my friends, Christopher Redon and Lenny Tran, to pose for the player selection screen.
Software used
For this project, I worked with several essential software tools to create a trailer for a fictional game titled “Position de tête.” The main tools were After Effects, Media Encoder, and Illustrator.
Adobe After Effects was key to integrating the Illustrator drawings, videos, sound elements, and 3D components. This software allowed me to edit the trailer.
Adobe Media Encoder was essential for exporting the trailer with the right settings. We needed a high-resolution export in an .mp4 file.
Adobe Illustrator was used for creating visual elements and allowed me to add 3D effects, enriching the trailer’s overall appearance.
